Authorized staff devices use the licensed School-MS server. They are not individually sold a full software licence.

School-MS is designed around a server inside the school. Administration, accounts, teachers, library staff and other authorized devices reach that server through the local network.

Core work stays local
The Gatt Technologies commercial website is not the school's operational database and is not required for ordinary daily School-MS operations.
Offline activation
Export an activation request, transfer it to an Internet-connected device, obtain the signed licence from Gatt Technologies, then import it into School-MS.
Local verification
School-MS verifies signed commercial entitlement using its packaged public verification key. The private signing key remains on Gatt infrastructure.
Occasional Internet
Internet can still be needed for online activation, software updates, SMS, external payment providers and other external services.
Server licensing
Plans control approved School-MS server allowances. Ordinary browsers and staff workstations connecting to that server do not count as additional licensed servers.
